Renting a car in France

Matilar
I am planning a road trip through the French countryside, hitting up some vineyards and coastal towns, and I want to rent a car for the whole thing. Anyone done this recently, and is the rental process straightforward over there?

France is brilliant for a road trip, the motorways are smooth, and once you get off the main routes, you find all those little villages and bakeries that make the trip worth it. Just watch out for the speed cameras on the autoroutes, they are everywhere, and the fines find you even after you have returned home. To rent a car in France, you can check out what is available here https://getrentacar.com/en-US/france .

Grab the full insurance cover before you go, because French parking barriers and narrow multi-storey car parks have a habit of leaving little dents that the rental desk will spot a mile away.
