Is hiring a car with a driver in Kazakhstan worth it?

USUFE
Yo, heading to Kazakhstan for a work trip and need to visit a couple of spots way outside the city. I do not have an international driving permit, so self driving is out, has anyone hired a ride with a local behind the wheel instead?

Honestly, for long hauls between cities like Almaty and the remote industrial zones, grabbing a car rental with driver in Kazakhstan is the smartest play, you skip the paperwork, the road stress, and the local who knows the routes handles the checkpoints and the potholes while you just sit back. The cost difference from renting solo is not even that big once you factor in the deposit and insurance nonsense. You can check the available options with a driver included at https://getrentacar.com/en-US/kazakhstan .

Ask the driver directly about the route and fuel stops before you head out, some of the remote stretches have zero services for hours, and the guy will know where to top up.
